An extra-large, round, Victorian era locket, modeled in 14k rosy yellow gold, whose face is set with a single, large, matrix-webbed turquoise cabochon. This soulful, oval, blue-green gem ishighly saturated, andits matrix is reddish-to-golden brown. This locket is clean, minimal, and almost contemporary felling— theearthy turquoise gem seems to float inthe simple,gold pool of the locket face. The locket's reverse is hand-engraved with a large monogram, in period script— thisengraving appears to be a single letter (H), butwhen we removed the photo inside, we learned that it is actually the letters FC, for Florence Clark Dutton. This name is written on the backside of the locket's card-weight, sepia photo. The locket'soriginalphoto ring is present, as is the large oval bail. This locket is marked 14k for purity. It is a unique and especially wonderful object.

Condition is excellent. We are very happy to polish this, before shipping, if you do not prefer the original, gently-worn finish.
